ELKHART, Ind. -- A 16-year-old has been arrested for stealing a vehicle from a restaurant, according to Elkhart Police.

Monday night around 9:45 p.m., police were dispatched to the 500 block of Main street to investigate the theft of a vehicle.

The victim, an employee of the business, told police her car was parked behind the business and had been stolen. She said the keys to the car were in her coat, which was stolen from inside the back of the business.

The vehicle was located the next morning and was returned to the victim.

A juvenile was arrested on preliminary charges of auto theft and was taken to the juvenile detention center.
