16-year-old charged with murder for July 10 shooting on South Carlisle Street

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - A 16-year-old has been charged with murder for the shooting death of 16-year-old Luis Hernandez-Acosta on July 10, according to the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office.
Prosecutors charged Edwin Torres-Becerril with murder, conspiracy to commit murder and a firearm enhancement.
Torres-Becerril is accused of killing Hernandez-Acosta near South Carlisle and Huron streets in South Bend.
