17-Year-old accused of early May shooting to be tried as adult

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A 17-year-old who police said shot two people in South Bend on May 7, will be tried as an adult..

Henry Turner IV faces several charges for battery with a deadly weapon.

In total, he faces three felonies and a misdemeanor charge for having a gun without a license.

The shooting happened on Western Ave.near Chapin St. last month.

21-year-old DeCarlos Lester and 18-year-old Josh Wardlow told police they were talking outside an apartment complex when they were shot.

Both survived the shooting.
