18-year-old arrested in connection to shooting at River Shore Apartments
SOUTH BEND, Ind. - South Bend Police announced an 18-year-old suspect has been arrested in connection with the shooting that occurred April 9, at River Shore Apartments.
Through an investigation by the South Bend Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit, 18-year-old Juwantay Addison was identified as the suspect, now under arrest.
Addison was taken into custody and ultimately arrested with assistance by the St. Joseph County U.S. Marshals Task Force.
On April 9, around 6:45 a.m., South Bend Police responded to a call in the 3500 block of Northside Boulevard on the report of a shooting.
Officers located a woman suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
The victim was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Addison is charged with Domestic Battery by Means of a Deadly Weapon and Battery by Means of a Deadly Weapon, both felonies.
Addison is currently being held at the St. Joseph County Jail.
