2 arrested following vehicle pursuit

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Two people were arrested following a vehicle pursuit Monday afternoon.

A South Bend officer attempted a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle at approximately 4:30 p.m. near Wilber Street and Lincolnway West.

Police say the vehicle refused to stop which led the officer to pursue.

The pursuit ended a short time later at the intersection of William Street and Lincolnway West following a crash.

Three occupants fled the vehicle but thanks to the assistance of a few good samaritans, officers were able to detain the subjects.

All three occupants were taken to the hospital as a precaution.

There were no other reported injuries.

Antonio Flores, 25, and Shonta Henderson, 20, were taken into custody.
