Enjoy the milder weekend, winter returns Monday
The week will end on a gray note with a light shower chance by Friday evening. Colder air pours in tonight, bringing a chance of snow showers into Saturday morning. Minor accumulation of up to 1" is possible on grassy and elevated surfaces.
Quiet weather returns by Saturday evening and lasts through Tuesday afternoon before a system brings another chance of snow by later in the day Tuesday.
Temperatures will remain relatively mild for January standards in the middle 30s to lower 40s thru early next week.
The strongest system of the next 10 days will likely arrive late next week and bring strictly rain showers to Michiana courtesy of temperatures topping out in the 40s.
