$20,000 food grant for South Bend's west side schools

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - South Bend Empowerment Zone acquired a $20,000 grant, funding take-home boxes of food for Coquillard, Harrison, Warren and Wilson Elementary Schools and Navarre Middle School. 

South Bend Empowerment Zone Chief, Dr. Davion R. Lewis, sees this grant as an opportunity to make a "meaningful difference" by helping food insecure households in Northern Indiana. 

Food boxes can be found in the family resource room at each school.
