2013 CES kicks off

LAS VEGAS -- The International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) kicked off in Las Vegas Monday.

The show features the latest and greatest gadgets from companies like Sony, Samsung and Intel.

One gadget that's gaining attention is the Martian watch that will read texts, tell you who is calling, let you answer calls while you're driving and of course serve as a timepiece.

Microsoft and Apple do not attend the event.

In past years, electronics such as the CD player and VCR debuted at the conference.
