2023 Annual Winterfest in Elkhart

ELKHART, Ind. – The City of Elkhart Parks and Rec is kicking off the holiday season with Winterfest on Saturday, December 2, in downtown Elkhart.

Organizers say some of this year's highlights include Breakfast with Santa at Central Fire Station, The Ugly Sweater Run and Stroll, and free photos with Santa at the Elkhart Public Library.

There will also be downtown merchants’ open houses, and ice skating at NIBCO Water and Ice Park.

Something new this year, organizers have pointed out, is that ice carvers will be creating ice sculptures throughout downtown all day.

The day will end with the annual Winterfest Parade at 6:00 p.m., which travels down Main Street from Harrison Street to Lexington Avenue.

Following the parade, Mayor Roberson will present awards for the parade and light the city Christmas tree on Civic Plaza.
