21-year-old driver dies in crash on Centreville-Constantine Road Tuesday morning

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Mich. – A driver has died following a one-vehicle crash along Centreville-Constantine Road Tuesday morning, the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office reported.

At 7:50 a.m., deputies responded to the crash scene on Centreville-Constantine Road between Roys and Sevison Roads.

A preliminary investigation shows that the vehicle was traveling southwest along Centreville-Constantine Road before it crossed the center line and drove off the left side of the road.

The vehicle hit multiple trees before coming to a stop.

The driver of the vehicle, a 21-year-old man, was extricated after being trapped in the driver’s seat unresponsive.

Investigators found a 1-year-old child uninjured in the backseat. The child was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure.
