25-year-old man charged with Child Solicitation after meetup plans with fake Facebook profile
St. Joseph County Jail: Austin Davis ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- A 25-year-old man has been charged with Child Solicitation following his alleged attempt to meet up with a fake 13-year-old he'd been messaging over Facebook.
Austin Davis was charged with Child Solicitation for Intercourse as a Level 4 Felony and Child Solicitation as a Level 5 Felony.
On Nov. 17, 2025, a man reported to the South Bend Police Department that a man had attempted to meet with a 13-year-old, sent nudes to her, and spoke sexually to her over social media.
When officers responded to the man, he told them that he created a fake Facebook profile under the name "Alyssa Taylor" which he used to speak to another profile under the name "Antonio Rodriguez."
Allegedly, after being told "Alyssa" was 13 years old, "Rodriguez" sent nudes to the profile, spoke about doing sexually explicit things to "Alyssa," and wanted to meet her at the EK store on the corner of Elwood Avenue and Olive Street.
The man stated he knew the profile belonged to someone known as Dakota Dykes. According to the Probable Cause Affidavit, Dykes was later discovered to be Davis.
The man said he went to the EK store while "on Facebook Live" and noted that "Dykes" was there waiting for "Alyssa."
Lastly, the man shared screenshots of his conversations over Facebook, later allowing the officers to take a screen recording. According to the PCA, the "Alyssa" account clearly says she is 13.
On Nov. 25, 2025, officers conducted an interview with Davis where he allegedly admitted to having the "Rodriguez" profile, speaking to "Alyssa," sending a photo of his penis, and showing up at the EK store to meet with "Alyssa."
However, Davis allegedly claimed that he didn't know "Alyssa" was 13 years old and did not see the message stating this. Davis also allegedly said that he's never done something like meet up with underage kids before.
Davis' initial hearing has been set for June 10.
