27 people arrested on Tippecanoe River Saturday

PULASKI COUNTY, Ind. – 27 people were arrested on the Tippecanoe River Saturday, August 31.

Conservation Officers conducted a patrol of the river due to complaints from residents of excessive littering and criminal activity near the river.

A group of individuals were caught floating down the river consuming alcohol, while all were under the age of 21.

The arrest required assistance from the Winamac Police and Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department due to the size of the group.

All were transported to the Pulaski County jail and are facing charges of minor consumption of alcohol, but are considered innocent until proven guilty.
