2nd shooting in South Bend being investigated

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – South Bend Police dispatch got a call for shots fired around 7:40 p.m. Saturday night.

Officers were sent to the 800 block of East Donald Street where they found a young girl with injuries.

Police have not released the details of these injuries, but the girl is now the hospital.

South Bend Metro Homicide has taken over the investigation.

Traffic is being rerouted through the area by police and they are asking people to avoid driving through if possible.
