SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Sunday was a day of threes in South Bend!
Three area non-profit agencies came together for the 3 for 3 Triathlon.
The Center for the Homeless, YMCA and the Alcohol & Addictions Resource Center hosted the inaugural event today.
The triathlon included three traditional sports, running, swimming, and biking.
Organizers say this was a great opportunity to come together to support their missions.
"A lot of people it was the first time they've ever done it in a pool, usually it's in the open water, but I don't know any difference so I was in the pool and I was glad to see all the life guards and what not," said Christiaan Corthier, participating in first triathlon.
Folks who did not want to swim a leg of the race had the option to kayak instead.
