3 men accused of breaking and entering at Jay's Lounge

Deputies with the Berrien County Sheriff's Office and Michigan State troopers responded to Jay's Lounge on 11th Street in Niles early Wednesday morning after the alarm was activated.

When officers and troopers arrived around 4:25 a.m., they found one man in the parking lot, one man inside the business and one man across the street.
Deputies said forced entry was made to the business.

All three men were arrested and charged related to the breaking and entering.

Scott William Kopis, 26, of Elburn, IL. was charged with breaking and entering a building with intent to commit a larceny, and resisting and obstructing a police officer.

Andrew Patrick Koehler, 25, of Auburn, MI., was charged with breaking and entering a building with intent to commit a larceny.

Michael John Acker, 26, of Coleman, MI., was charged with breaking and entering a building with intent to commit a larceny and disturbing the peace.
