HANCOCK COUNTY, Ind. – Three people are recovering after a small plane crash in Central Indiana.

It happened Sunday morning just after 7 in Greenfield. Police say the pilot and his two passengers were trying to take off from Pope Field, but they didn't make it over the tree line.

The plane crashed into several trees and barely missed several power lines.  All three people were taken to a local hospital.

They are expected to recover.
