3-year-old dies of natural causes

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Sheriff's Department responded to a home in the 57000 block of Paul Street around 4:30 Sunday morning after a 3-year-old was found unresponsive.
Mia Hilger, 3, was taken to Elkhart General Hospital where she was declared deceased.
An autopsy determined her cause of death was from complications of a congenital defect, according to Elkhart County Coroner James P. Elliott.
Her manner of death was natural causes.
