30 Service members killed in crash, return home
Tuesday was a solemn day at Dover Air Force Base.
The bodies of 22 Navy SEALS, three airmen and five soldiers returned home.
The 30 service members died in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan on August 6.
Among the fallen was Kraig Vickers, of Hawaii.
Mary Vickers, Kraig’s mother, thinks that all of the families who lost someone are supporting each other now, she said, “For all those that were on the helicopter, you know every life is important not only this incident but all the ones before them because it seems like it's teamwork out there.”
Seven Afghan commandos and and Afghan interpreter were also killed in the attack.
