3600+ residents without power in the South Bend area

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Indiana Michigan Power is reporting a power outage in the northern South Bend area Sunday night at 10 p.m. The outage is affecting more than 3600 residents.

I&M is expecting to have power restored to the area by 3 a.m. on Monday, May 18th.

According to officials, the power loss was due to a transformer explosion near the corner of Ironwood and Cleveland Roads.
