4.4 Magnitude earthquake hits L.A.

A 4.4 magnitude earthquake rocked Los Angeles Monday morning right in the middle of one news station's newscast.

The KTLA anchors immediately ducked under the anchor desk and once the quake was over they picked up their newscast right where they left off.

People in the area say the earthquake got their attention, but they were not scared.

The United States Geological Survey shows the quake was centered about 15 miles northwest of the downtown area but there were no immediate reports of serious damage.
