53-Year-old man stabbed six times in South Bend

South Bend Police said a 53-year-old man was hospitalized after he was stabbed six times early Sunday morning.

The stabbing happened at the 600 Block of Fairview, but police said the victim then walked around the corner, where people were gathered in a garage on the 2500 block of Erskine Street.

On-scene officers said it looked like the man had five stab wounds in his front torso, but at the hospital another wound was found in the victim's shoulder.

Police said they do not have any suspects yet, since the man was in too much pain to explain what happened.
