54 Hours of work, launch new businesses

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The first ever Startup Weekend at Notre Dame is underway at Innovation Park over the weekend. The idea is that that people will pitch new business ideas, and the top idea at the end of 54 hours worth of work gets to set-up shop in South Bend. Startup Weekends have happened all over the world and are credited with helping to launch more than 5,000 new businesses. The winning idea will get 6 months worth of office space at Innovation Park at Notre Dame for free, and other business advice to get started. The winner will be chosen Sunday afternoon.
