54-year-old South Bend man sentenced over 9 years for firearm offense
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The United States Attorney’s Office Northern District of Indiana announced 54-year-old Tony Young, of South Bend, was sentenced to 110 months in prison after pleading guilty to being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
Young was sentenced by United States District Court Judge Damon R. Leichty.
Following his prison sentence, he will have three years of supervised release.
Court documents in the case state in March and April, law enforcement was investigating drug activity at a Mishawaka residence, including the sale of methamphetamine by Young.
Documents state a search warrant for the residence resulted in the recovery of a loaded stolen revolver.
Young, who has multiple prior felony convictions, was prohibited from possessing the firearm in this case.
