SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The suspect in the recent shooting at Eddy Street Commons has turned himself in.

The St. Joseph County Prosecutor's Office reports that 19-year-old Anthony Michael Taylor of South Bend turned himself in for the shooting, which happened on September 19. Officials say it happened in a crowded area near Notre Dame as that weekend's football game was starting. 

Officials say investigators spoke to witnesses and used surveillance video to help identify the suspect in this case.

The prosecutor's office says it filed three charges after a 17-year-old girl and a South Bend Police officer were injured. They include Battery by Means of a Deadly Weapon and two counts of Criminal Recklessness, all felonies. 

Both victims are expected to make a full recovery, per officials.

Taylor is due in court October 21.
