9 injured, 1 killed in single vehicle crash Monday evening

One person was killed and nine others were injured when a van drove off the road in LaGrange County around 9:20 p.m. Monday.

Jennifer Botts, 31, was driving a 2002 Chevy van eastbound on CR 500S when she drove off the road for an unknown reason, according to the sheriff's department.

The van drove into a steep ditch and crashed into a culvert.

Botts and eight passengers were taken to the hospital for evaluation and treatment.

One passenger was killed in the accident. The victim's name has not been released.

None of the occupants of the van were wearing seat belts.

The accident remains under investigation.
