Congressman Rudy Yakym meets with Hoosiers Orthopedic Hospital at Warsaw Surgery Center
WARSAW, Ind. -- Rudy Yakym visits the Orthopedic Hospital at the Warsaw Surgery Center this week, traveling to all 11 counties in Indiana's Second Congressional District to meet with Hoosiers and participate in events highlighting the wins of the Working Families Tax Cuts for Indiana.
Talks about the advancements in digital care management and precision in orthopedic surgery were held, highlighting the personalized care and date collection like range of motion and walking data.
"Warsaw, Indiana, is the orthopedic capital of the world. To have the opportunity to serve the Hoosiers here, who are really improving the lives of Americans, the amount of technology and the research and development that they've done here is really quite stunning. To come here today and have the opportunity to learn about what they do and how they do it, the benefits of the research and development that they do right here in Kosciusko County is really quite amazing." says Yakym.
He then goes on to speak on the importance of these advancements for Hoosiers.
"Well, this is important for the district because of the number of jobs that are created right here in Kosciusko County because of the orthopedic manufacturing that takes place here. The other thing that I see is when I talk to the Hoosiers that I have the opportunity to serve. There are so many of them that have had the opportunity to have a knee replacement, a hip replacement, a joint replacement. I'll never forget even about 15 years ago, my own grandfather was on a ladder and fell out of off of his ladder and had to have a hip replacement, and it was done right here in Indiana Second District, with technology that was manufactured and researched and developed right here." says Yakym.
