SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Scattered thunderstorms persist through the early evening Monday, these showers are developing ahead of a cold front that the revenants of Beryl will ride along into the region by Wednesday. Tuesday is muggy, and rain gradually starts again by late afternoon. The greatest impact from Berl will be heavy rain, upwards of three inches of rain are possible, most of it falling before sunrise, Wednesday morning. The concern for flooding / standing water in low lying areas is the greatest concern. Clear storm drains and check your sump pump, if you have one. The rain will clear quickly, drier by Wednesday afternoon. Temperatures then rise through the weekend, nearing 90° by next Monday. Thie weekend will be warm, with only a slight chance of pop-up showers.
Tonight: Scattered evening thunderstorms. Low 68.
Tuesday: PM T-Showers. High 80.
Wednesday: Heavy AM Rain. High 76.
Thursday: Partly cloudy. High 80.
