A man is rescued after his car goes into the St. Joseph River

A man was rescued Friday morning after his car ended up in the St. Joseph River.

It happened along State Road 120 in Elkhart County.

The slick conditions on the roadway caused the driver to lose control.

Emergency res ponders had to rescue the man from the roof of his car. He was then taken to Elkhart General Hospital where he was treated for hypothermia.
