A multiple vehicle fire in Niles Township

NILES TOWNSHIP, Mich -- While on patrol, early Sunday morning, a Berrien County Sheriff's Deputy smelled smoke in the area of South 11th street.
The cause of the smoke was found to be multiple vehicles at 321 Bertrand Road.
The Niles Township Fire Department was called to the scene at 3:20 a.m. where they found a total of 14 scrap vehicles burning including a section of a nearby woods.
The fire was extinguished before it could reach an adjacent house.
The fire still remains under investigation.
