Demolition of Qualex building gets underway
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – A sister and brother are working together to bring a brand new food experience to Downtown South Bend.
Baker and Rose will open near the Saint Joseph River in the Emporium building downtown.
Colleen and Kevin Lawler’s restaurant will showcase locally-sourced ingredients for breakfast and lunch.
The Lawlers are excited to be back in their hometown again and part of a community with positive momentum.
“We’re doing a lot of stuff, its unique but its not scary its fresh, colorful, lots of flavors just really good food and I just want people to be excited that we’re bringing that to South Bend,” said Colleen.
Baker and Rose will open Thursday with a limited menu.
An official opening date is yet to be decided.
