A South Bend woman sentenced to 10 years imprisonment

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – A woman from South Bend was sentenced Wednesday for allegedly transporting a minor with the intent of criminal sexual activity engagement, according to the Department of Justice. 

Brittany Stenberg, 30, was sentenced to 120 months imprisonment with an addition five years of supervised release.

According to official documents, Stenberg transported a minor from Indiana to Illinois for prostitution from Sept. 30 to Oct. 3, 2014.

The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation as well as the Sheriff’s Dept. of Cook County, Ill.

South Bend District Court’s Judge Jon. E. DeGuillio sentenced Stenberg.
