Tis the season for eating, and there's no better way to get ready for the food fest that is the holidays than with Elkhart Dining Days. The event kicks off Friday Oct. 30 at 20 participating restaurants, including some new ones this year.

It's a great chance to get a good deal on special entree options, or taste test a restaurant you've been meaning to try out. Flavor 574 food and restaurant critic Marshall King has the low-down on more of what you can expect in his full story here.

100 Men Who Cook

This year's first-ever 100 Men Who Cook fund raiser was a huge success. Like it sounds, close to 100 men donned aprons and served up their very best  main dishes, desserts and accoutrements. All the money stays in the community benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of Elkhart County. Final tallies for how much was raised will be available soon, but King tells ABC 57 they brought in at least $200,000.
