A taste of Flavor 574: Vegan eats, craft brews and Dining Days

It tastes like chicken.

And the flavor is so close to the real thing, meat-lovers start arguments with their servers at the Crooked Ewe Brewery & Ale House in South Bend. But the Ewe Tso isn't chicken; in fact, it's a deep-fried vegetable that might be changing the way carnivores feel about vegan menus.

Flavor 574's food critic and Elkhart Truth Columnist Marshall King stopped by the ABC 57 studios Thursday morning to talk about the Ewe's two menus and beer list.

The progressive menu has options for vegans, vegetarians and meat-lovers alike. King says the best-selling brew is a Wampus Monster double IPA that doesn't overwhelm  or feel too heavy.
