Lake effect snow showers will continue to impact Michiana this afternoon, with gusty winds causing blowing and drifting snow. These winds are reducing visibility across the area and are expected to persist into tonight, keeping the lake effect snow machine active through the late evening. Snowfall should taper off overnight, but temperatures will drop significantly as we head into the workweek. An additional 1-3 inches of snow is expected from lake effect. Tonight, low temperatures will fall into the single digits, marking the start of a cold stretch. Highs on Monday will struggle to reach the teens, gradually warming into the 20s by the end of the week. The next chance for snow arrives Wednesday night into Thursday.
Tonight: PM Snow showers. Cloudy and cold. Low 8.
Tomorrow (President's Day): Cloudy and cold. High 12.
Tuesday: Cloudy and cold. High 18.
Wednesday: PM Snow chances. Cloudy and cold. High 19.
