A weekend thaw will melt snow as temperatures warm into the 50s by Monday. Saturday and Sunday will be mostly cloudy with a chance of rain showers, freezing drizzle is possible Saturday until the ground and pavement begin to warm. Rain is likely Monday, however the flood threat remains low. Combined rain and snow melt looks to be around two inches of water. Minor flooding in areas with bad drainage is possible.
Tonight. Partly cloudy, warming to 22.
Saturday: Mostly cloudy, fog and drizzle, high of 38.
Sunday: Mostly cloudy, chance of showers, high of 46.
Monday: Rainy, high of 54.
Weekend Thaw / Flooding Concerns
I took a snow core yesterday @ABC57News. There’s 1.24” of meltwater in the snowpack.
The potential for major flooding is MUCH less than last year.
