A woman was arrested Friday night for OWI in Elkhart County

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind.—A crash occurred at the Mobile Home Park at 54152 Ash Rd at approximately 11:45 p.m. Friday night.

Authorities say 31-year-old Heather Tolley was driving a 2000 Ford Mustang traveling eastbound on CR 8 when she attempted to turn into the Mobile Home Park and was unable to fully make the turn.

Police say Tolley was driving too fast and ran off the northeast corner of the roadway striking landscape stones and overturning.

The passenger of the car 33-year-old Richard Meyers left the scene and was later found at Elkhart General Hospital receiving treatment for injuries to the head including facial lacerations.

According to police, Tolley was found to be operating while intoxicated (OWI) after submitting to a breathalyzer test.

Tolley was arrested and taken to the Elkhart County Jail for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and was also given a citation for driving at an unsafe speed.
