ABC57 announces the Jennifer Copeland Memorial Scholarship Fundraising Dinner

ABC 57

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Michiana lost beloved ABC57News anchor Jennifer Copeland to a rare and aggressive form of ovarian cancer at the age of 46 in October 2024.

Now you can help us honor her memory and support the next generation of local journalists.

The Jennifer Copeland Memorial Foundation, Inc. is an IRS certified 501c3 non-profit and very proud to announce the establishment of the Jennifer Copeland Memorial Scholarship Fund. The first annual Jennifer Copeland Memorial Scholarship Fund fundraising dinner will be held at the new 11/11 Club at Four Winds Field in South Bend on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Everyone is invited to celebrate Jennifer's life, journalism career, and to support her mission to help grow the next generation of local journalists. The Jennifer Copeland Memorial Scholarship Foundation, Inc. has established a scholarship fund through the Community Foundation of St. Joseph County to help qualified high school seniors across St. Joseph County, interested in journalism careers, pay for college. The goal is to raise $150,000 to fund those scholarships and establish a lasting, living legacy in honor of our friend and colleague who dedicated her time and effort to helping young reporters get better at their craft.

Your donations are 100% tax deductible.
