An outdoor impromptu concert was held in downtown South Bend Wednesday afternoon.
Locals came out to the corner of Lafayette and Jefferson Streets where the Spaniels sang Acapella renditions of Christmas classics.
The quartet is best known for the song Goodnight Sweetheart.
Larry Kilcoyne, the group’s manager, told us why this style of music is still so special.
“It's popular mainly with the older generation that remembers it. But there are kids, little kids that sort of are becoming attached to it,” said Kilcoyne.
WNIT sponsored the event and the singers say they even have roots in Niles, Michigan.
