Actress Sigourney Weaver visits Saint Mary's College

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Actress Sigourney Weaver visited the Saint Mary’s College campus on Monday.

She is best-known for her starring roles in films such as “Aliens,” “Gorillas in the Mist,” “Working Girl,” both “Ghostbusters” movies, “Avatar” and “You Again”.

Weaver’s visit focused on the education of Saint Mary's theatre students. She was scheduled as the Margaret Hill Endowed Visiting Artist. Other artists who have visited as part of this program include Glenn Close and Lily Tomlin.

Weaver conducted a master class with Saint Mary's College theater students in the morning, and will hold a public lecture at 7:30 p.m. Monday night in the O'Laughlin Auditorium.

Admission to "An Evening with Sigourney Weaver" is free to Saint Mary's, University of Notre Dame and Holy Cross College students, faculty and staff. Tickets are required and are available at Moreau Center for the Arts box office.
