Aerial tour of flooding in Kosciusko County

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. -- For the first time we got a birds-eye-view of the flooding in Kosciusko County. There were homes, roads and fields underwater.

We departed in the helicopter from Elkhart Municipal Airport. First we spotted flooding in Goshen. Marshlands were almost completely underwater and water was seeping into farmland.

There were even irrigation systems underwater in the middle of farm fields.

Then we headed towards Lake Wawasee. There, docks were underwater and there were several flooded areas.

At North Webster Lake, there were pockets of flooded areas, but the worst of the flooding was in and around the Tippecanoe and Barbee Lake channels.

Watch the video for a more complete picture of the flooding in Michiana.
