Airtran Airways introduces 'customer of size' policy

UNITED STATES -- Airtran Airways has a new policy for what they call "customers of size."

Beginning in March, Airtran Airways will require fliers who can't fit into one seat with both armrests down to purchase a second seat.

Southwest bought Airtran earlier this year, and it's their policy.

On its website, Southwest says it refunds the additional seat purchase after travel if the flight was not oversold.
