Amy Troyer named South Bend's teacher of the year

SOUTH BEND, Ind.-- A kindergarten teacher has been named The South Bend School Corporation Teacher of the Year.
Amy Troyer teaches at Warren Primary Center. In recognition of her achievement, she received a $1000 professional growth grant, a plaque, and a golden apple.
"I just love my students, I love them," said Troyer. "Everyday I want them to know that. And so I show them a lot of kindness, a lot of caring, and just an accepting warm, wonderful, family attitude."
She will now be able to compete for Indiana Teacher of the Year.
