Animal control offers free cat houses, straw for outdoor animals

South Bend Animal Care and Control is giving away free outdoor shelter houses for cats who live outside. They are also providing free straw to help keep the animals warm.
South Bend Animal Care and Control is at 521 Eclipse Place in South Bend.
"We're actually offering at South Bend Animal Care and Control straw free to any St. Joe County resident. Just bring your ID just to say where you're from, so we can try to track that," said Matt Harmon, shelter manager of South Bend Animal Care and Control.
The free cat houses are provided by the Facebook group South Bend Lost and Found Pets.
