Animal shelter offers pet adoption deals for Black Friday

An animal shelter is redefining Black Friday, by offering up big deals for animal lovers.

They are giving away black and mostly black pets on Friday.

The shelter has high hopes that they will be able to adopt out as many animals as possible, especially the darker-colored animals.

“Dark animals, black animals tend to stay in the shelter longer, and sometimes they just get overlooked,” says Melissa Houston of the Kansas Humane Society.

The agency says black is a more dominant color, so darker colored animals tend to be ignored.
