Annual Magnet Fair set for tomorrow

Perley Primary Fine Arts Academy is one of several schools that will be in attendance at Tuesday’s annual Magnet Fair at the Century Center.

“One of the opportunities we have through our magnet program is to develop the skill of inquiry,” said Prinicpal Jill VanDriessche.

For one hour every day except Friday, students can learn just about anything.

“From the rock orchestra to garage band on the computer, recycled art, motion with tennis,” said VanDriessche.

VanDriessche says Tuesday night’s Magnet Fair at the Century Center should also spark parent’s curiosity.

“We’re just one of many beautiful blossoming magnets within our district but we give parents the opportunity to see what’s offered throughout schools,” said VanDriessche.

The Magnet Fair is from 6 to 7:30 pm.

This year magnet school applications will be accepted through December 15.
