Another Reason to Scream in the Park

I have already professed my love for America's Roller Coast, Cedar Point.  It is my favorite place in the whole world.

And, tonight kicks off the best part of the season, in my opinion.  Halloweekends have arrived!  Cedar Point decorates the entire park for Halloween, and it is AWESOME!  Even if you are not a fan of the holiday, or prefer not to be scared, there are tons of things to do, see and smell.

The scent of kettle corn is unmistakable along the trail...YUM!  There are shows and a parade...and the monsters have some of the coolest costumes!  The shows are all Halloween themed too.

One complaint that I have about some of the roller coasters; they are getting a little rough as they age.  The Mean Streak especially can give you a pretty wicked ride if you are in the back of the train (especially in the back of the car).  So, now that the weather is cooler, you have extra built in padding for the coasters!  It is great!  I can get thrown all around and not even care!

I must say, though it does get COLD on some of the coasters!  The Magnum hill seems so much longer when it is cold!  You are so anxious to get over that hill!  But, it is all part of the experience.

Looking forward to heading over there as soon as I can take a Friday off!  The park is only open Friday-Sunday now, so I will have to take a day off to enjoy...but it will be totally worth it!

My grandparents live in Sandusky, and so I really grew up spending the summers at CP.  And, while I was in college, I worked there during the summers, so if you ever have any questions, please feel free to ask!  I would love to help!  And, if you do head over to the park, I would love to hear all about it, and see your pictures!
