INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.— Investigators are left scrambling after tech corporation Apple’s latest update upgraded the security on iPhones.
To access locked iPhones, investigators would use the $15 thousand device, Grey-Key, which is a system that can unlock any locked iPhone.
However, in the latest update, Apple has figured out a way to block systems like Grey-Key from accessing locked phones.
Hoosier law enforcement claims that oftentimes key pieces of evidence are found on cell phones or computers and that this could slow down the investigating process.
