NOW: Applications open for 2023 Lily Endowment Community Scholarship in Marshall County

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- Applications for the 2023 Lily Endowment Community Scholarship are now open in Marshall County for the 26th year.

One scholarship will be provided to a Marshall County student who graduates from an accredited Indiana high school and receives their diploma no later than June 30, 2023.

The award provides a scholarship for full tuition, required fees and a special allocation of up to $900 per year for required books for those intending to go through four years of undergraduate study that leads to a baccalaureate degree at any Indiana public or private college.

Whichever institution the student chooses must be accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

Room and board costs are not included in the award.

The student must also be intending to study full-time and must also meet criteria specific to the Community Foundation, which can be found online at http://www.marshallcountycf.org/lilly-endowment-scholarship

Applications for the scholarship must be submitted by September 9 at 5 p.m. to be considered for selection.

The Marshall County Community Foundation will overview each application and select three finalists to be nominated.

Each nominee will then be submitted to Independent Colleges of Indiana for the final vote of the scholarship recipient.

Those who are awarded the scholarship will be notified in December.
