Area boat restrictions lifted

The Indiana DNR has given the OK to taking b oats back out on several Michiana lakes.

Last month's heavy rains forced restrictions on lakes in Kosciusko and Lagrange Counties.

Now people can use their boats again on several lakes, including the Barbee Lake Chain and the Tippecanoe Lake Chain in Kosciusko County and the Indian Lake Chain in Lagrange County.

Speed restrictions have been lifted. All boats can now operate normally.
