ARGOS, Ind. -- Argos is the only district in Marshall County to be named to the AP Program School Honor Roll, earning a Silver distinction!
Each year, schools can earn this award by meeting criteria that supports opportunities for students to earn college credit and maximizing college readiness.
Argos had more than half of its seniors take at least 1 AP exam during high school, and 5% of those took 5 or more.
It offers a variety of advanced courses across many subjects, and even introduced a new AP Math course this past year.
One of the teachers, Jonathan Arndt, is also recognized by College Board as the Midwest region teacher of the year.
The unique thing about Argos: the school doesn’t put restrictions on who can take an AP course. Anyone up to the challenge can enroll.
Superintendent, Ned Speicher tells ABC57, some people may look at a smaller school like Argos and think the opportunities aren’t there for their child to go above and beyond, but this award proves that’s not the case.
